CME

General Information

Each day of the course there will be three hours of didactic lectures.  Most of the presentations are given by attendees and they reflect the variety of specialties represented among the AMTA membership.  Outside speakers from a local medical center are sometimes brought in, or an occasional web-based lecture is shown.  Opportunity for Q & A with the lecturers can extend from the lecture hall onto the tennis court or into the dinner hour.

CME Credit

Abstracts of the lectures are submitted for approval of the AAFP Commission on Continuing Professional Development to attain Prescribed Credit.

Specialists other than family practitioners may claim Category 2 credit for the lectures that they attend.

Because of its diverse range of specialists, the AMTA is embracing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) incorporating CME as well as managerial, social and personal issues for physicians, rather than limiting presentations to disease-oriented topics.

Category 2 or Category 4 credit can be claimed for giving a lecture.
